Aamer Sohail: “Babar still has a lot to improve as a captain. I have backed him for a long time but he needs to bring that killer instinct into his captaincy and if he does so, he can be very good”

Former Pakistan batsman Aamer Sohail has urged limited overs skipper Babar Azam to “bring that killer instinct into his captaincy” as it will help him become a better leader.
Many people still remain unconvinced about Azam’s captaincy as the team has experienced mixed results as of late.
Recently, the men in green drew 2-2 with New Zealand in a five-match T20I series before going on to win a three-match T20I series against Ireland 2-1.
They then suffered a 2-0 loss in the four-match T20I series they played against England.
Aamer conceded that Azam still has a long way to go to become a great captain, but doesn’t see any reason why the 29-year-old cannot reach that level.
“Babar still has a lot to improve as a captain. I have backed him for a long time but he needs to bring that killer instinct into his captaincy and if he does so, he can be very good,” he was quoted as saying by Geo Super.
Pakistan will now take part in the 2024 T20 World Cup, which is being held in the West Indies and United States of America.
Pakistan’s first T20 World Cup game will be against the United States of America in Dallas on June 6.
