Pakistan wicketkeeper-batsman Sarfaraz Ahmed believes 22-year-old Khawaja Nafay is a “very promising” batting prospect.

Nafay has been playing alongside Sarfaraz for the Quetta Gladiators in the ongoing 2024 Pakistan Super League (PSL).

In the five matches he has taken part in, the youngster has shown great potential, amassing 113 runs, which includes a top score of 60 not out, at an average of 37.66 and a strike-rate of 141.25.

So far, Sarfaraz likes what he has seen from Nafay and wants him to keep scoring runs going forward.

“There’s Khawaja Nafay, who is also very promising; he’s new and has recently played for the Sindh team,” he told Cricket Pakistan.

Sarfaraz, meanwhile, has played in five games in PSL 9 and made 15 runs at an average of five and a strike-rate of 71.42.
