Aamer Sohail: “I think the only thing Pakistan cricket needs to do is they have to find good spinners. Also, I think somebody at number five in the batting department is needed”

Former Pakistan captain Aamer Sohail believes the national team are lacking two key players right now, namely a good spinner and “somebody at number five in the batting department.”
The men in green have been using a core group of spinners as of late, which include Shadab Khan, Mohammad Nawaz and Usama Mir in limited overs cricket. As for Tests, Abrar Ahmed and Noman Ali have been their go-to choices.
In regards to the team’s middle order batsmen, players like Saud Shakeel and Salman Ali Agha have stood up and cemented their spots with excellent performances.
However, it remains to be seen if the selectors will give chances to any other batsmen who could potentially fit into the middle order.

The Pakistan team have not been at their best lately as they were beaten 3-0 in a Test series against Australia and 4-1 in a T20I series against New Zealand.
Many of the players in the national team are now involved in the 2024 Pakistan Super League (PSL), which began on February 17.
