Legendary Pakistan batsman Younis Khan is confident that Haider Ali “is an upcoming star of Pakistan”.
Younis’ comments come after the tour of England, where he was Pakistan’s batting coach.
Haider starred in his international debut in the third T20 International against England.
The 19-year-old smashed a 33-ball 54, which included five boundaries and two sixes, to lead Pakistan to a five-run win.
Younis was so impressed with Haider’s performance that he said the youngster has a “bright future” and “the ability to play all formats for Pakistan”.

“Haider Ali has that will and skill which turns a youngster into a good player. He is an upcoming star of Pakistan. He is strong and his fitness is improving day-by-day. He has a bright future and the ability to play all formats for Pakistan,” Younis was quoted as saying by Saj Sadiq on Twitter.
Pakistan lost the three-Test series against England 1-0, but drew the three-match T20 series 1-1.
