Tim Murtagh finished with career-best figures of 5-13 off nine overs

Tim Murtagh took a career-best five-wicket haul as Ireland stunned England on the opening day at Lord’s by skittling them out for a dismal score of 85 in the first session.
Opting to bat first, England lost debutant Jason Roy early on as he was caught by Paul Stirling at first slip off the bowling of Murtagh for five runs.
Joe Denly managed to make 23 runs before he was trapped lbw off the bowling of debutant Mark Adair.
Rory Burns was caught behind off the bowling of Murtagh for six runs, while captain Joe Root was given out lbw off the bowling of Adair for just two runs.
Murtagh then took out Jonny Bairstow, Chris Woakes and Moeen Ali in quick succession to complete his five-for.
Stuart Broad only made three runs before he was caught behind off the bowling of Boyd Rankin, while Sam Curran mustered 18 runs before becoming Rankin’s second victim.
England were bundled out for 85 when debutant Olly Stone was cleaned up by Adair for 19.
Murtagh was the pick of the bowlers with five wickets, while Adair snapped up three and Rankin chipped in with two.
Trailing by 85 runs, Ireland lost captain William Porterfield in the 13th over as he was caught by Jack Leach at midwicket off the bowling of Curran for 14.
James McCollum, who opened the batting with Porterfield, made 19 before he was clean bowled by Curran.
Andy Balbirnie and Stirling stabilised the innings with an 87-run partnership, during which Balbirnie brought up his fifty, before Stirling was trapped lbw off the bowling of Broad for 36.
Balbirnie went on to score 55, which came off 69 balls and included 10 boundaries, before he was cleaned up by Stone.
Stone also took out Gary Wilson, while Broad removed Stuart Thompson for a duck.
Adair, Andy McBrine and Murtagh fell shortly after, while Moeen clean bowled Rankin for seven runs as Ireland were bowled out for 207, which gave them a 122-run lead.
Curran, Broad and Stone took three wickets apiece, while Moeen claimed one.
Trailing by 122 runs, England didn’t score any runs in the one over they faced before stumps was called.
England finished on 0/0 and will continue batting on Thursday at 11:00 local time or 10:00 GMT.
