Aaqib Javed: “Hafeez being fit will be crucial for Pakistan’s chances as he provides balance to the side with his bowling”

Ex-Pakistan pace bowler Aaqib Javed believes that veteran all-rounder Mohammad Hafeez will play a vital role for the national team during the World Cup.

Hafeez underwent a second surgery on his fractured thumb, but recently said that he has already made a full recovery.

With Hafeez claiming to be fit, Javed noted that he can have a major impact with both the bat and ball during the tournament.

“Hafeez being fit will be crucial for Pakistan’s chances as he provides balance to the side with his bowling,” Javed told cricketpakistan.com.pk.

Pakistan will kick off their World Cup campaign against the West Indies in Nottingham on May 31.
