Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Ehsan Mani travelled to South Africa on Monday in a bid to convince Cricket South Africa to send the men’s and women’s teams to Pakistan.
International cricket has slowly begun returning to Pakistan as Sri Lanka played a Twenty20 International in Lahore in October last year, while the West Indies visited the country and played a three-match Twenty20 series in Karachi in April this year.
Sources said that Mani will meet officials from Cricket South Africa and discuss the possibility of having the national teams tour Pakistan.
It is also understood that Mani has been attending the ongoing Boxing Day Test in Centurion.
Following the Boxing Day Test, Pakistan and South Africa will play two more Test matches, along with five ODIs and three Twenty20 Internationals.
