South Africa pace maestro Dale Steyn believes that Pakistan seamer Mohammad Abbas will rise to the summit of the rankings for Test bowlers following his sublime start in the longest format.
Abbas has 59 wickets in his first 10 Test matches at a magnificent average of 15.64.
He was named Man of the Match in the second Test against Australia in Abu Dhabi for taking five-wicket hauls in both innings.
He was also bestowed with the Man of the Series award for being the highest wicket-taker in the two-Test series with 17 victims at a jaw-dropping average of 10.58.
Given all this, Steyn took to Twitter to say: “I see a new number 1 Test bowler coming… Mohammad Abbas.”

Should Abbas continuing putting up performances like this, Steyn’s prediction will soon become a reality!
