Uncapped Warwickshire pace bowler Olly Stone has been included in England’s ODI squad for their upcoming series against Sri Lanka.

Stone has been in sensational form throughout the ongoing county season as he has taken 34 wickets in five County Championship matches at a jaw-dropping average of 11.61.

The 24-year-old also excelled in the Royal London One-Day Cup, where he claimed 12 wickets in eight games at an average of 28.16, and the Vitality Blast, where he picked up seven wickets in five matches at an average of 23.28.

England have also recalled all-rounder Sam Curran, who played his only ODI against Australia in June.

Curran is coming off a magnificent showing in the recently concluded five-Test series against India, where he was named Player of the Series.

Curran scored 272 runs in four matches, which included two half-centuries, at an average of 38.85, and took 11 wickets at an average of 23.54.

The 20-year-old’s recall comes after fellow all-rounder David Willey had his county campaign cut short due to a back injury.

Meanwhile, all-rounder Ben Stokes and batsman Alex Hales have also made the cut, even though both of them were charged with bringing the game into disrepute by the Cricket Disciplinary Commission.

Both of them will have to attend a hearing that has been scheduled from December 5 to 7.

Their charge relates to their involvement in a brawl outside the Mbargo nightclub in Bristol last September.

Hales was not arrested or charged by the police, but Stokes was charged with affray. However, he was found not guilty at Bristol Crown Court last month.

The ODI series between Sri Lanka and England will begin on October 10 in Dambulla.

England’s ODI Squad: Eoin Morgan (Captain), Moeen Ali, Jonny Bairstow, Jos Buttler, Sam Curran, Tom Curran, Liam Dawson, Alex Hales, Liam Plunkett, Adil Rashid, Joe Root, Jason Roy, Ben Stokes, Olly Stone, Chris Woakes, Mark Wood
