England ODI captain Eoin Morgan and batsman Sam Billings will both travel back to India to continue playing in the Indian Premier League (IPL) once the ongoing ODI series against Ireland concludes.

England cruised to a seven-wicket win in the first ODI in Bristol, which marked the first time that both nations had played an ODI on English soil.

With the second and final ODI being held at Lord’s on Sunday, Morgan and Billings will head back to the IPL soon after to represent the Kings XI Punjab and Delhi Daredevils respectively.

However, they are scheduled to return to England on May 15 for the national team’s training camp in Spain, which precedes their upcoming ODI series against South Africa and the Champions Trophy.

While Morgan and Billings will be making the trip back to India, opener Jason Roy, who played for the Gujarat Lions, has chosen to stay in England and play county cricket for Surrey.
