Shadab could make his Test debut later this month

Leg-spinner Shadab Khan is one of five uncapped players to be included in Pakistan’s squad for the upcoming three-Test series against the West Indies.
Shadab, 18, only made his international debut on March 26, but made a huge impact in the four-match Twenty20 series as he finished as the highest wicket-taker with 10 scalps at an average of 7.50 and an economy rate of 4.73.
The other uncapped players joining Shadab in the Test side are Usman Salahuddin, Hasan Ali, Mohammad Abbas and Mohammad Asghar.
Meanwhile, opener Ahmed Shehzad and batsman Shan Masood returned to the Test squad. Shehzad has not played Test cricket since July 2015, while Masood’s last Test match came in July 2016.
“The Test team has been selected keeping in mind the conditions in West Indies and the recent performances of players during the domestic and international season,” chief selector Inzamam-ul-Haq said. “The team is a fine blend of experience and youth and believe that team will do well in the tour.”
The three-match Test series begins on April 21 in Jamaica.
