Sri Lanka wicketkeeper-batsman Kusal Perera has been ruled out of the first two ODIs against Bangladesh due to thigh strain.

Perera sustained the injury to his left thigh while representing the Sri Lanka Board President’s XI in a warm-up game against Bangladesh.

Perera scored 64 off 78 balls in the match before retiring, but it is likely that he could be fit for the third and final ODI in Colombo on April 1.

The three-match ODI series between Sri Lanka and Bangladesh will get underway on Saturday in Dambulla.
