Pakistan will play their first-ever day-night Test against the West Indies from October 13 to 17 in Dubai, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) confirmed on Thursday.

The West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) had agreed in principle to play a day-night Test in June after the PCB offered them the opportunity to play a three-day day-night practice game and train under lights.

The announcement comes after the PCB released the schedule of the series, which will consist of three Twenty20 Internationals, three ODIs and three Tests.

The first two Twenty20 Internationals will be held in Dubai, while Abu Dhabi will host the third Twenty20 International.

Sharjah will be the venue used for the first two ODIs before the action returns to Abu Dhabi for the third and final ODI.

With the first Test being played in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah will host the second and third Tests respectively.
