The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has decided to extend batting coach Grant Flower and fitness trainer Grant Luden’s contracts for another year on the advice of head coach Mickey Arthur.

Flower and Luden had signed two-year deals in July 2014 and were also given three-month extensions on top of that.

Arthur also convinced the PCB to bring in Steve Rixon as the team’s new fielding coach.

Prior to Flower taking up the position of batting coach, Pakistan averaged 28.89 runs per wicket between January 2012 and February 2014. In the time that Flower has been there, that average has increased to 43.82.
