Gemini Arabians captain Virender Sehwag and wicketkeeper-batsman Kumar Sangakkara both made half-centuries to help their side beat the Capricorn Commanders by 10 runs.
Sehwag would have been thrilled with his decision to bat first even though opening batsman Richard Levi was dismissed early on for just five runs as he and Sangakkara took the attack to the Commanders.
Sehwag ended up making 59 off 27 balls, which included seven boundaries and three sixes, before he was clean bowled by Abdul Razzaq.
Brad Hodge made a quickfire 29 before Sangakkara was dismissed by Jeetan Patel for 65, which came off 40 deliveries and included three boundaries and five sixes.

Thanks to Sehwag and Sangakkara, the Arabians finished on 190/4 off their 20 overs.
Razzaq, Patel and Rikki Clarke picked up one wicket apiece.
Chasing 191 to win, the Commanders got off to an excellent start before things began to go downhill as they started losing wickets at regular intervals.
With Ashwell Prince, Andrew Symonds and Razzaq being the only three batsmen to make decent contributions, the Commanders found it tough to keep up with the required run rate and they eventually fell short of their target.
Muttiah Muralitharan was the most successful bowler with three wickets, while Kyle Mills snapped up two and Rana Naved-ul-Hasan, Saqlain Mushtaq and Jacques Rudolph claimed one wicket each.
Sehwag was named Man of the Match.
