Pakistan ODI captain Azhar Ali has revealed that he no longer has a problem with left-arm pace bowler Mohammad Amir being the in national team.

Ali and opening batsman Mohammad Hafeez refused to take part in a training camp prior to the ongoing tour of New Zealand due to Amir’s presence and Ali even tried to resign as captain.

Ali initially admitted that he didn’t want to play alongside Amir since the latter had been suspended for five years for his involvement in a spot-fixing scandal in a Test match against England in 2010.

However, Ali admitted that he has resolved his issues with Amir and is happy to have him in the squad.

“He bowled well in the T20s. My job is to try to get the best out of him,” Ali said.
