The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) directors have elected Mahbub Anam and AJM Nasiruddin as their new vice-presidents.

Anam and Nasiruddin received 21 and 17 votes respectively, while another board director, Najib Ahmed, secured eight.

Anam has been the BCB’s vice-president in the past as he has worked for the board for more than two decades. However, this is the first time Nasiruddin, who is renowned sports organiser in Chittagong, has been appointed as vice-president.

Even though six directors – Akram Khan, Tanjil Chowdhury, Sheikh Sohel, Ahmed Iqbal Hasan, Enayet Hossain Siraj and Gazi Golam Mortuza – were not present during the election, four of them still voted online.
