India pace bowler Ishant Sharma has announced that he has no interest in playing County cricket in England.

It seems his opinion is different to that of batsman Cheteshwar Pujara, who signed with Derbyshire for the rest of the County season, and fellow fast bowler Varun Aaron, who stated that he would love to play County cricket in England when he has more time.

“No, I am not interested,” Sharma said when asked if he would even consider playing County cricket.

Meanwhile, Sharma admitted that he was gutted after India were thrashed 3-1 in the recent five-Test series against England.

“No team wants to lose a contest,” he said. “We played hard enough but they played better cricket than us.”

When one of the journalists asked him if Mahendra Singh Dhoni really deserves to be called ‘captain cool’, Sharma said: “You guys have seen him. He remains pretty relaxed.”
