Flamboyant West Indies opener Chris Gayle will be rested for the two Twenty20 Internationals against New Zealand in Dominica.
All-rounder Dwayne Bravo will also be out of action as he is still recovering from a shoulder injury he sustained during the Indian Premier League (IPL).
However, all-rounder Kieron Pollard, who has not played any international cricket since July 2013 due to a knee injury, is set to make his comeback.
Fellow all-rounder Christopher Barnwell and batsman Darren Bravo have both been included in the 13-man squad as well.
But, there was no place for all-rounder Marlon Samuels, pace bowler Ravi Rampaul and opening batsman Johnson Charles.
