It is still unclear whether Jayawardene will return in time for the second Test

Sri Lanka wicketkeeper Prasanna Jayawardene returned home prior to the start of the first Test against Bangladesh due to family reasons.

Jayawardene immediately flew back to Sri Lanka after receiving some distressing news from home.

It is unlikely that he will feature in the second Test as well, which gets underway on February 4 in Chittagong.

Batsman Kithuruwan Vithanage replaced Jayawardene in the side and Dinesh Chandimal will don the gloves for the remainder of the ongoing Test match.
