Legendary India batsman Sachin Tendulkar has become the first Indian cricketer in the history of the sport to record 50,000 runs in all formats.

Tendulkar accomplished the milestone during the Mumbai Indians’ semi-final match against Trinidad and Tobago in the recently concluded Champions League Twenty20 (CLT20),

Needing 26 runs on that day to reach the landmark figure, Tendulkar took a single off the bowling of Yannick Ottley to register yet another milestone in his illustrious career.

Tendulkar has currently scored 50009 runs in 953 competitive matches, which includes 551 List A matches, 307 First-class matches and 95 Twenty20 matches.
