Every member of the Indian team will receive a handsome reward

All members of team India will feel like they have just hit the jackpot after the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced that each player would receive a cash prize of Rs. 1 crore for bringing home the last ever Champions Trophy cup.

The board also announced that every member of the support staff would also get a handsome sum of Rs. 30 lakhs as well.

India defeated hosts England by five runs in a nail-biting final that came right down to the wire.

India managed to successfully defend 129 after their match was reduced to 20 overs due to rain.

The win now solidifies India’s spot on the top of the International Cricket Council (ICC) ODI rankings and adds another piece of silverware to the trophy cabinet, in which India will still have the coveted World Cup trophy, which they won back in 2011 after beating Sri Lanka in the finals.
