A BATTING WITH BIMAL BREAKING REPORT: Hussey to replace Hussey?

Hussey has called on Cricket Australia to allow his brother to replace him on the Test roster

While Australia middle order batsman Michael Hussey’s retirement from international cricket has sparked a massive debate over who will replace him in the Test squad, the 37-year-old veteran sees no one else worthy than his brother David.

Hussey’s decision to retire came exactly a month after former Australia skipper Ricky Ponting announced his at the conclusion of the three-Test series against South Africa in December.

While Hussey believes his brother should be given an opportunity to represent Australia in Test cricket, especially after all the success he has had in the limited overs format, the veteran insisted that there were other worthy candidates who have the ability to occupy his spot as well.

Even though Hussey has endlessly tried to make a case for his brother, Cricket Australia have already added Phillip Hughes to replace Ponting and seem to have their eyes set on Usman Khawaja to take over Hussey’s spot in the long run, despite all-rounder Glenn Maxwell having been included in the Australian side for their tour of India next month.
