A BATTING WITH BIMAL BREAKING REPORT: Mitchell Marsh thrown out of academy for his night out

Marsh had been warned in the past for his unruly behaviour

Australia Twenty20 International player Mitchell Marsh has been expelled from the Centre of Excellence in Brisbane due to disciplinary reasons.

A statement released by Cricket Australia said that the 20-year-old all-rounder was ordered to leave after being declared unfit to participate in a training session after a night out.

“While the incident in isolation was not serious, he was already on a final warning, as such, it was decided he should be sent home to Perth,” the statement said.

Marsh re-signed with Western Australia despite rumours circling that he was looking to sign with another team since he was unhappy with the initial contract offer he received from Western Australia.

Marsh, who is useful middle order batsman and medium pace bowler, has represented Australia in three Twenty20 Internationals and one ODI.

He is also the youngest son of Geoff Marsh, who was a Test and ODI opening batsman for Australia, as well as coach of Australia and Sri Lanka.
