Victory probably never tasted sweeter for Australia as left-arm pace bowler Mitchell Johnson helped his side draw first blood in the Ashes series with a five-wicket haul, which gave the baggy greens a convincing 381-run win over arch-rivals England in Brisbane.

Morkel used to be one of the best all-rounders in the cricketing world

In his heyday, South Africa’s Albie Morkel was being praised as one of the greatest all-rounders the country has ever produced and pundits were even comparing his batting abilities to that of India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni, but in a rather unfortunate turn of events, Morkel has now found himself on the sidelines for far too long and he admitted that “I won’t play for South Africa again”.
