Dear loyal readers and visitors,
This Saturday and Sunday (15th and 16th August), the Kowloon Cricket Club will be hosting a charity sixes tournament to help those who were affected by the devastating earthquake in Nepal in April this year.
The tournament will feature many members of the Hong Kong team that recently helped the country secure a spot at next year’s World Twenty20 in India. Furthermore, members of the Nepal team, including vice-captain Gyanendra Malla, will also be present and taking part in the event.
The #Sixes4Nepal event will consist of six teams and run on both days from 12:15pm to 5pm. If you are in town or within the vicinity of the Kowloon Cricket Club, I highly recommend you come on down and support this noble cause.
While entry is free, donations to the victims of the earthquake are highly recommended. All the money that is raised will be given to UNICEF – Nepal Earthquake and Operation Breakthrough Hong Kong.
So please, should you want to come down for two afternoons of exciting cricket and big-hitting, while also helping people rebuild their lives, then head to the Kowloon Cricket Club this Saturday and Sunday.
For those who want to follow the event closely, I will be putting up match reports, photos and interviews with players and officials. So please keep checking my site on a regular basis so that you can be up to date with everything that is happening at the #Sixes4Nepal event.
If you are unable to make it, but still want to make a difference and be involved in helping Nepal take a step towards a better and brighter future, I will leave a link to the donation page at the bottom.
Donations: In order to donate, please print out the document BELOW and follow the instructions.
Thank you everyone. I hope you all have a pleasant week ahead.
Kind regards
Bimal Mirwani
