Pakistan rising star Usman Tariq has said he looks up to some of the greatest mystery spinners in the game – Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan, Sri Lanka’s Ajantha Mendis, and West Indies’ Sunil Narine – for inspiration.
Tariq noted that the trio have delivered “solid performances” for their countries and he is determined to emulate that level of success while representing Pakistan.
So far, the 28-year-old has backed up his words with action, claiming 12 wickets in five T20Is at an outstanding average of 9.25 and an economy rate of 5.94.
