
Pakistan batsman Salman Ali Agha: “My performance hasn’t been up to the level it should have been and I am working on that”

Pakistan T20I captain Salman Ali Agha conceded that his performance hasn’t been up to the mark as of late.
Aware of his responsibility to lead by example, Salman confirmed he is working hard to improve his game and make a greater impact.
“My performance hasn’t been up to the level it should have been and I am working on that,” he was quoted as saying by ESPNcricinfo.
During the 2025 Asia Cup, the 31-year-old was limited to 72 runs in seven games at an average of 12 and a strike-rate of 80.89.
He fared a lot better in Pakistan’s two-Test series against South Africa, amassing 170 runs, which included a top score of 93, at an average of 42.50.
As for the three-match T20I series, he mustered 35 runs at an average of 17.50 and a strike-rate of 106.06.
Salman is now representing Pakistan in three ODIs against South Africa, where he has accumulated 131 runs in two games, which includes two fifties, at an average of 65.50.
Once the South Africa ODIs conclude, Pakistan will face Sri Lanka in a three-match ODI series from November 11 to 15, and then participate in a T20I tri-series featuring Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe between November 17 and 29.
