Pakistan T20I captain Salman Ali Agha thinks big-hitting batsman Mohammad Haris deserves immense credit for never complaining despite not getting to bat in his preferred position.

Haris has been criticised regularly for his inconsistent performances, but Salman thinks he is a “special player” for the sacrifices he has made.

“He is a special player. He is not batting in his number. He never moaned. He said whatever the team needs, he will do it,” Salman was quoted as saying by Geo Super.

Haris recently played in the 2025 Asia Cup, where he scored 131 runs in seven matches, which included a top score of 66, at an average of 21.83 and a strike-rate of 133.67.

Pakistan are now facing South Africa, but the Peshawar native did not take part in both the Test and T20I series.

He also isn’t playing in the ODI series, which is level at 1-1 going into the 3rd ODI on November 8 in Faisalabad.

After the South Africa series, Pakistan will challenge Sri Lanka in three ODIs from November 11 to 15, before competing in a T20I tri-series alongside Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe from November 17 to 29.
