Pakistan bowling coach Ashley Noffke picked fast bowler Salman Mirza and big-hitter Hasan Nawaz as two “really exciting prospects” the men in green have right now.
Mirza is currently in action in Pakistan’s home series against South Africa and featured in the recently-concluded three-match T20I series.
The 31-year-old bowled beautifully in the two games he played, picking up four wickets at an average of 7.50 and an economy rate of 3.75.
As for Nawaz, he scored eight runs in three matches at an average of four and a strike-rate of 66.66.
“They’re really exciting prospects,” Noffke was quoted as saying by Geo Super.
Pakistan and South Africa will now play three ODIs between November 4 and 8.
After that, Pakistan will go up against Sri Lanka in a three-match ODI series from November 11 to 15, before joining a T20I tri-series with Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe from November 17 to 29.
