Pakistan T20I captain Salman Ali Agha has confirmed that he hasn’t held any discussions about replacing Mohammad Rizwan as ODI skipper.

His remarks come after there was mounting speculation he could lead the men in green in all three formats.

So far, Salman will continue captaining Pakistan in T20Is, but it remains to be seen what decisions are taken in the future in regards to Rizwan and Test captain Shan Masood.

“Until now I had no discussions regarding the ODI captaincy,” Salman was quoted as saying by Cricket Pakistan.

The 31-year-old recently played for Islamabad United in the 2025 Pakistan Super League (PSL) and amassed 201 runs in nine matches at an average of 25.12 and a strike-rate of 136.73.

He then proceeded to make 90 runs in three T20Is against Bangladesh, which included a career-best knock of 56, at an average of 45 and a strike-rate of 155.17.

As for the tour of Bangladesh, Salman struck 24 runs in three T20Is at an average of 12 and a strike-rate of 58.53.

Pakistan then toured the West Indies and the Lahore native kicked off his campaign with 49 runs in three T20Is at an average of 49 and a strike-rate of 113.95.

In the three-match ODI series, he accumulated 62 runs at an average of 20.66.

Next up for the men in green will be a T20I tri-series against the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Afghanistan in Sharjah, which will be held from August 29 to September 7.

Following this, they will take part in the 2025 Asia Cup, which will be played in the UAE from September 9 to 28.
