
Salman Ali Agha: “After watching Hasan Ali and Sahabzada Farhan’s recent performances, it seems they can be useful for Pakistan in T20 cricket”

Pakistan T20I captain Salman Ali Agha believes fast bowler Hasan Ali and batsman Sahibzada Farhan will be useful in T20Is.
Both Hasan and Farhan have been dominant in domestic cricket, with the former recently representing the Karachi Kings in the 2025 Pakistan Super League (PSL) and finishing as the joint second-highest wicket-taker with 17 wickets in 10 matches at an average of 20.47 and an economy rate of 9.03.
Farhan, meanwhile, was the highest run-scorer in the National T20 Cup with 605 runs in seven matches for Peshawar Region, which included three centuries and two fifties, at an incredible average of 121 and a strike-rate of 189.65.
He then played for Islamabad United in PSL 10 and was the top run-scorer with 449 runs in 12 games, which included a hundred and three half-centuries, at an average of 37.41 and a strike-rate of 152.20.
Having witnessed Hasan in action and played alongside Farhan in the PSL, Salman acknowledged that the duo have a future in the T20I squad.
“After watching Hasan Ali and Sahabzada Farhan’s recent performances, it seems they can be useful for Pakistan in T20 cricket,” he told Geo News.
After PSL 10, Hasan and Farhan both took part in Pakistan’s three-match T20I series against Bangladesh, with Hasan picking up eight wickets, which included a career-best five-wicket haul, at an average of 11.12 and an economy rate of 9.53.
As for Farhan, he made 75 runs in two games, which included a career-best 74, at an average of 37.50 and a strike-rate of 166.66.
Pakistan won the series 3-0.
Next up for the men in green will be a tour of Bangladesh, where they will play three T20Is in Mirpur from July 20 to 24.
