Pakistan T20I captain Salman Ali Agha admitted that the fans are not happy with the national team and have every right to feel that way as the men in green have failed to meet expectations.

During the 2025 Champions Trophy, Pakistan were dumped out in the group stage after failing to win a single match.

Following this, they embarked on a limited overs tour of New Zealand and were battered 4-1 in the T20Is before being whitewashed 3-0 in the ODIs.

“The fans are not happy from us, and they have every right to be disappointed, as we didn’t deliver the level of cricket they expected from us,” Salman was quoted as saying on X, formerly known as Twitter.

After the New Zealand tour, Salman represented Islamabad United in the 2025 Pakistan Super League (PSL) and scored 201 runs in nine games at an average of 25.12 and a strike-rate of 136.73.

Bowling-wise, he took two wickets at an average of 33.50 and an economy rate of 8.37.

Currently, Salman is captaining Pakistan in their three-match T20I series against Bangladesh, which the men in green lead 1-0 after winning the 1st T20I by 37 runs.

Salman had a huge impact in that match as he struck a career-best 56 and took one wicket.

The 2nd T20I will be held on May 30 in Lahore.
