Legendary left-arm fast bowler Wasim Akram has suggested that a rift exists in the Pakistan team as “there are players who don’t want to talk to each other”.
He noted that the players should focus on representing their country and winning matches for Pakistan.
Those who are the cause of the divide in the team should “sit at home”, the Sultan of Swing added.
“There are players who don’t want to talk to each other. This is international cricket, and you play for your country. Make these players sit at home,” Wasim was quoted as saying by Cricket Pakistan.
Pakistan recently featured in the 2024 T20 World Cup and began with back-to-back losses to the United States of America and India.
Despite fighting back to beat Canada and Ireland, the men in green failed to make it to the Super Eights and were eliminated in the group stage.
