Azhar Ali: “Naseem Shah showed glimpses of his talent with the way he bowled to Root and Buttler”

Pakistan Test captain Azhar Ali was impressed with teenage pace sensation Naseem Shah’s performance in the Test series against England.
Azhar was especially pleased with the way the 17-year-old bowled to England skipper Joe Root and wicketkeeper-batsman Jos Buttler.
However, Azhar admitted that he wished Naseem took a few more wickets during the three-Test series, which Pakistan lost 1-0.
Naseem claimed three wickets at an average of 69.33.

“Naseem Shah showed glimpses of his talent with the way he bowled to Root and Buttler. He’s inexperienced and he’ll learn. Unfortunately, he couldn’t get the wickets we were expecting but sometimes that happens. I’m positive that this talent will perform in future,” Azhar was quoted as saying by Saj Sadiq on Twitter.
