Pakistan left-arm seamer Wahab Riaz admitted that new Twenty20 captain Babar Azam has been “leading from the front”.
Wahab’s comments come after Azam scored 59 not out in the first Twenty20 International against Australia, which was abandoned due to heavy rain, and 50 in the second match, which Australia won by seven wickets.
Wahab is also confident that Azam’s leadership skills will get increasingly better as time goes on.
“Babar is leading from the front; We have all seen him batting well on both games – he’s been confident and scoring runs. Obviously it’s a new challenge for him and he will get more experience as he progresses through his career,” he was quoted as saying by PakPassion.
