Kane Richardson carved through Pakistan’s batting line-up with a three-wicket haul to lead Australia to a 10-wicket win in the third Twenty20 International in Perth.

Electing to bowl first, Australia got a big breakthrough early on as Pakistan captain Babar Azam was trapped lbw off the bowling of Mitchell Starc for six runs.

Starc struck again the very next ball as he clean bowled Mohammad Rizwan for a golden duck.

Imam-ul-Haq only made 14 runs before he was caught by Ben McDermott at midwicket off the bowling of Sean Abbott.

Haris Sohail scored eight runs before he was caught by Richardson at long-off off the bowling of Ashton Agar.

Richardson then took out debutant Khushdil Shah for eight runs, while Imad Wasim was sent packing by Abbott for six runs.

Iftikhar Ahmed was the only Pakistan batsman to put up a fight as he smashed a 37-ball 45, which included six boundaries, before he was caught by Starc at fine leg off the bowling of Richardson.

Richardson took out Shadab Khan four balls later as Pakistan ended up finishing on 106/8.

Richardson was the pick of the bowlers with three wickets, while Abbott and Starc snapped up two wickets apiece. As for Agar, he chipped in with one.

Chasing 107 to win, Australia captain Aaron Finch and David Warner finished things off by themselves as they forged an unbeaten 109-run partnership, during which Finch brought up his fifty.

Pakistan tried everything possible to end the stand Finch and Warner put together, but it all went in vain.

Finch ended up making 52, which came off 36 balls and included four boundaries and three sixes, while Warner remained undefeated on 48, which came off 35 deliveries and included four boundaries and two sixes.

Abbott was named Man of the Match.
