Heavy and persistent rain led to the first Twenty20 International between India and South Africa in Dharamsala being washed out without a single ball bowled.

Not even a toss was possible due to the soggy conditions and inclement weather.

With the rain causing massive puddles to form on the covers and damaging the outfield, the game was called off just 48 minutes after it was scheduled to begin.

India and South Africa’s next meeting will be in Mohali on Wednesday.
