Afghanistan captain Rashid Khan took three wickets to leave his side four wickets away from victory against Bangladesh on the fourth day in Chattogram.
Starting off the day on 237/8, Afghanistan added 23 runs to their overnight score before Yamin Ahmadzai was run out for nine runs.
Afghanistan ended up being bowled out for 260, which set Bangladesh 398 to win, when debutant Zahir Khan was dismissed by Mehidy Hasan Miraz for a duck.
