Grant Flower has admitted that he is unsure whether Fakhar Zaman will still be opening the batting for Pakistan in five years’ time.

Flower, whose contract as Pakistan’s batting coach was not renewed recently, admitted that Zaman has to work on his technique.

Zaman struggled during the World Cup as he scored 186 runs in eight matches, which included a fifty, at an average of 23.25.

However, while Zaman’s future is uncertain in Flower’s eyes, he believes Imam-ul-Haq and Babar Azam will continue to be in the top three.

“I’m not sure about Fakhar Zaman; he’s got to get his technique a bit tighter, but the other two will definitely be there, no question about that,” Flower told ESPNcricinfo.
