Pakistan captain Sarfraz Ahmed described his performance during the World Cup as “average”, but admitted that he was satisfied overall.
Sarfraz scored 143 runs in eight matches, which included a half-century, at an average of 28.60.
Pakistan were knocked out of the tournament on Friday as even though they beat Bangladesh by 94 runs at Lord’s, New Zealand had a better net run rate than them and thus advanced to the semi-finals.
“My performances were average but all thanks to Allah, I am satisfied as a captain and as a player with my performances,” he was quoted as saying by PakPassion.
