Legendary Pakistan pace bowler Shoaib Akhtar believes that the national team are still a dangerous side at the World Cup as they are like cornered tigers.
Pakistan beat New Zealand on Wednesday in order to keep their hopes of qualifying for the semi-finals alive.
However, they also have to beat Afghanistan at Headingley on Saturday and take down Bangladesh at Lord’s on July 5 in order to have any chance of reaching the last four.
But, even if they defeat Afghanistan and Bangladesh, it might not be enough as they will have to rely on the results of other matches.
Despite this, Akhtar noted that Pakistan pose a serious threat as they have their sights set on reaching the semi-finals.
