Pakistan captain Sarfraz Ahmed has admitted that his side currently just aren’t as good as India.

Sarfraz’s honest admission comes after his side were crushed by 89 runs via the Duckworth-Lewis-Stern method in their World Cup clash against India in Manchester on Sunday.

However, Sarfraz pointed out that Pakistan used to be the better side back in the day.

India’s victory extended their unbeaten streak against Pakistan as they have now won all seven of their meetings against their arch-rivals in the World Cup.

“In the 1990s, Pakistan had the upper hand but now India’s team is better, that’s why they [have] won more matches,” Sarfraz was quoted as saying by PakPassion.

Pakistan’s next match will be against South Africa at Lord’s on Sunday.
