Wasim Akram: “This [question] doesn’t have an answer”

Legendary Pakistan left-arm seamer Wasim Akram has no idea why the national team have never been able to beat India in a World Cup match.

Akram’s comments ahead of Pakistan’s World Cup clash against India in Manchester on Sunday.

The men in green will be looking to snap their winless streak against their arch-rivals as India have triumphed in their six World Cup meetings to date.

However, Pakistan can take confidence from the fact that they demolished India by 180 runs in the Champions Trophy final in 2017.

“This doesn’t have an answer,” Wasim told Geo.tv. “These are the stats to be discussed [in the] media but players don’t think much about it, and they shouldn’t be thinking about it, they must remain focused on the game they’re playing on the day.”
