Legendary Pakistan left-arm seamer Wasim Akram has admitted that it will be very tough for the national team to win the World Cup.

Akram’s comments come after Pakistan lost to Australia by 41 runs in Taunton on Wednesday.

Prior to that, Pakistan lost their World Cup opener against the West Indies by seven wickets, but bounced back to beat England by 14 runs.

Their third match against Sri Lanka was washed out.

With a total of three points after four games, Akram conceded that the men in green will have to “play out of their skins” and win all their remaining matches to have a chance of winning the World Cup.

“Pakistan have to play out of their skins and win all of their remaining matches in the World Cup in order to stay in contention for the title,” Akram was quoted as saying by cricketpakistan.com.pk.

Pakistan’s next World Cup match will be against their arch-rivals India in Manchester on Sunday.
