Former Pakistan captain Ramiz Raja has admitted that Australia left-arm seamer Mitchell Starc could pose a serious threat to the national team in their World Cup clash on Wednesday.

Starc is currently the joint second-highest wicket-taker in the World Cup with seven wickets in three games at an average of 21.57.

He took a superb five-wicket haul in Australia’s 15-run win over the West Indies.

“The Pakistan batting line-up should not give away their wickets against Starc, even if we need to lower our strike rate we should do it because it will recover in the later overs. However, if Starc is able to take wickets, then it will kill the rhythm of the batting line-up,” Ramiz was quoted as saying by the Business Recorder.
