Former Pakistan seamer Waqar Younis believes the pace duo of Shaheen Shah Afridi and Mohammad Hasnain have bright futures ahead of them.
Afridi has taken 12 wickets in three Tests at an average of 31.41, 24 wickets in 14 ODIs at an average of 25.54 and 14 wickets in 10 Twenty20 Internationals at an average of 20.57.
As for Hasnain, he has claimed five wickets in five ODIs at an average of 60.60 and went wicketless in his only Twenty20 International to date.
“Shaheen Afridi and Mohammad Hasnain are so talented and have long futures ahead of them. I am excited to see what they can do,” Waqar was quoted as saying by cricketpakistan.com.pk.
Pakistan’s second World Cup warm-up game will be against Bangladesh in Cardiff on May 26.
They will then begin their World Cup campaign against the West Indies in Nottingham on May 31.
