Legendary Pakistan batsman Javed Miandad has denied the shocking claims Shahid Afridi made against him in his autobiography, Game Changer.

Afridi alleged that Miandad didn’t let him participate in batting practice prior to the Chennai Test against India in 1999.

However, Miandad refuted this and said that Salahuddin Salu witnessed the entire thing.

Afridi also revealed that he lost all respect for Miandad when he was forced to praise him during the presentation ceremony after the Chennai Test.

“I leave all these allegations to Allah. Is it possible that a cricketer is not allowed to do net practice before a test match?” Miandad was quoted as saying by PakPassion. “Allah has given me much respect. Allah also has a rule. If a person is bad, he gets infamous and if he is good, he gets good respect.

“People respect me all over the world today. They respect me because they know I have served Pakistan.

“I was the coach of Pakistan team, every person can give my example. I worked all my life keeping Allah in my mind.

“These allegations don’t make any difference. All of this will be evaluated on the Day of Judgment. Every person will get to know about their deeds then.”
