Pakistan batsman Faisal Iqbal attributed his disappointing record in Test cricket to the fact that he was used as a replacement player for the majority of his career.
Faisal represented Pakistan in 26 Tests and scored 1,124 runs, which included a century and eight fifties, at an average of 26.76.
However, he feels that he would have enjoyed a lot more success had he been given more opportunities to showcase his talent.
“I used to play one match as a replacement player, after which I used to be on the bench for the next five matches,” he told cricketpakistan.com.pk. “Even then I played some important knocks whenever I got an opportunity.”
