Pakistan left-arm spinner Imad Wasim admitted that it was an honour for him to lead the team in the fourth ODI against Australia in Dubai.
Imad was handed the leadership role for the match after stand-in captain Shoaib Malik was ruled out of the game with bruised ribs.
However, Imad’s hopes of a win were dashed as Pakistan lost by six runs, even though debutant Abid Ali and Mohammad Rizwan scored 112 and 104 respectively in the team’s chase of 278.
“It’s an honour leading Pakistan and I really enjoy captaincy so it was a great feeling and a great privilege for me,” he was quoted as saying by PakPassion.
With Pakistan having lost the fourth ODI, they will be looking to claim a consolation win in the fifth match, which will be held on Sunday in Dubai.
